Anonymity of War, powerfully explores the hidden impacts of conflict through a dynamic fusion of charcoal blend. This compelling body of work reflects the October 2020 massacre. Nigeria experienced widespread, youth-led protests known as *EndSARS*, which demanded the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a police unit notorious for brutality, extortion, and extrajudicial killings. The protests began around October 8, 2020, following the viral sharing of a video showing a SARS officer killing a young man in Delta State.
The most significant and violent incident occurred on October 20, 2020, at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos, commonly referred to as the "Lekki Massacre" or "Black Tuesday"...... in memory of the life's lost.
